Smallville Family Reunion

According to TV Guide reports, Lois (Erica Durance) is in for a family visit! General Lane (Michael Ironside) and Lois’s sister, Lucy Lane (Peyton List) will return to SMALLVILLE in an episode to air in late October.
This will mark the first time we’ve seen all three Lanes together, though the General and Lucy appeared in separate episodes during Season 4.
Ironside is no stranger to the Superman franchise. He was the voice of Darkseid, Season 10′s big bad, in two DC universe animated series. Since her 2005 appearance on SMALLVILLE, List has made a splash in FLASH FORWARD and MAD MEN.
In the comic book series, the General works for Lex Luthor. Could his appearance foreshadow Lex’s return? According to Michael Rosenbaum’s Twitter account, he’s been busy filming a part in the upcoming Bruce Willis movie, “Catch 44.” “Filming with the great Forest Whitaker now. He’s awesome. Wow. Fun times!!” he tweets.

Green Lantern 2

Variety reports that Warner Bros. Pictures has hired Michael Goldenberg (HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX) to write the screenplay for GREEN LANTERN 2. The first film is scheduled to hit 3D and 2D theaters on June 17, 2011.
Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim were previously hired to write a treatment for the sequel that would have Ryan Reynolds return as the DC Comics superhero who’s part of the Green Lantern Corps.
Filming just wrapped in New Orleans, Louisiana on the Martin Campbell-directed movie, produced by Donald De Line.
Goldenberg’s credits also include WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, PETER PAN and CONTACT.

Only the Shadow Knows hahahahahahaha.

I’m really excited about this news: reports that Quentin Tarantino has apparently become attached to the reboot of THE SHADOW currently in development at 20th Century Fox.
Sam Raimi and later David Slade had been attached to the project when it was setup at Sony Pictures. Sony sold the rights earlier this year to Fox but at last report Raimi was still attached as producer.
Tarantino is now said to be re-writing Siavash Farahani’s script. If true, the move comes as a big surprise as Tarantino is linked to plenty of other projects but his name has never come up in regards to THE SHADOW before.
THE SHADOW debuted in 1931 on a CBS radio show and followed the adventures of a crime-fighter who skulked in shadows wearing a hat and cape, and who had the power to cloud men’s minds.
The character went on to become one of the greatest pulp heroes of the time, appearing in all sorts of merchandise and several television series, and influenced many others works including “Batman” and Raimi’s own “Darkman”. Alec Baldwin, Penelope Ann Miller, Tim Curry and Ian McKellen starred in the previous ‘Shadow’ film adaptation in 1994.

Green Lantern 2 & 3

GREEN LANTERN is busy filming in New Orleans and rumors are already flying about seeing a lot more of the emerald warrior on the big screen over the next three years.
According to a staffer, Warner Brothers plans to begin shooting on GREEN LANTERN 2 before the first movie is even released AND that if the first film does the kind of box-office business we’re all expecting, the studio will green-light a THIRD Green Lantern movie to be shot back to back with the second.
The first GREEN LANTERN is due to hit theaters June 17, 2011, the second (supposedly) would have either a summer or Christmas 2012 release, and the third would be released in 2013.
Yes, this is all rumor and speculation. We will wait to see what the first trailer looks like so we can judge what kind of hero the filmmakers are bringing to the big screen. I am hoping for the best. We all love our heroes
